with 150k on a 235 motor the common issues are head gasket leaks due to lack of sealant on the hg and stretching head studs. Oil pressure sensors (behind the starter) are very prone to leaking and make sure it has (or get) the updated oil trap kit. That greatly helps reduce the oil leaks and future leaks. The stock ventilation kit in that motor was rediculous. If it's a convertable be sure to check the hydro rams for leakage at the upper seals. They are very pricey to fix. of coarse common failures of the DI cassette, idler pulleys, and water pumps are all good to check on. Also have the center bushing in the Diff checked. I see these worn out more so on the Vig than any others due to the high amount of wheel spin these cars see.. The axle will shake inside the diff on the drivers axle and continually will have a leaky axle seal. The bushing can be ground out , and a new one pressed in, but it's a bit labour intensive. But semi common on viggens. Also trans mounts are a good thing to check out. If it's a 5sp, The hydro slaves are prone to leak fluid on the 99's as well, so be sure to check that out. Most of all the things i fix day in and out on the 9-3's and 9-5's are leaks. That is where i'd be searching before i bought one.
