At that boost level that turbo is trying so hard and over reving, creating lots of heat. The exhaust cannot flow through that small 5cm exhaust side fast enough. This creates backpressure and everyone knows back pressure will cause a miss fire.

I am told this similar scenario over and over as I've reserached the 18t and 19t upgrades for my mits turbo. There is a point where the turbo can push too much for its own good.

I'm sure that you've seen a car with a plugged exhaust that exhibits these very same symptoms. John, that small exhaust housing simply cannot flow the exhaust out fast enough.

Now comparing to a t25 will be different as there is less volume being moved at the same boost levels.

Also, the altitude very well might have an effect as well. But how much would you say? Enough to explain your sucessful high boost conditions?
