after the swap from the Posted by vvack0matic [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: the classic 900 flywheel, dave, Thu, 2 Aug 2007 09:43:48 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
oem wheel to the lighter pound wheel have you had or noticed any idling problems, like after a hard boost the motor took an abnormally long time to idle down?
and the spg it is equipped to, is this a car that sits in a garage and looks pretty or is it your daily runner.
reason i ask is, if this car sits in a garage then on the durability aspect of the light wheel goes right out the window, but if its a car that's raced or running back and forth to work with all the stop lights in stop and go traffic with the motors heat constantly fluctuating then the durability of the wheel speaks very highly,
i had heard the lighter wheel will mess with the torque roll off of the car and will or might mess with the idling.
(personally i don't see an issue in these matters but i thought to ask)
the reason im so concerend with durability of this wheel is this 88 spg that its going to go into i drive to the end of the earth and back, and if i can get an edge with a lighter flywheel then i`ll equip it, but if its something that's going to give me nothing but problems then i will not take a second thought about it.
as you can see i been told everything under the sun how the light flywheel would hinder the operation of the car, and after searching the arcives it reviles next to no info on the classic 900 flywheel.
i would love to hear any slightest thing you noticed the wheel did different after the swap.
thanks again
