I'd personally recommend dumping the APC altogether, and using a cheap or homemade boost controller. I think turbocon86 is spot on about quickness - you want throttle response, not high end power for this race - the tracks aren't big enough to go very fast. APC does a good job diverting boost from the wastegate actuator to keep is closed longer, but as most folks on the Performance board will tell you, a good MBC does wonders for low-end boost response. Additionally, dumping APC ensures you have reliable boost at all times - it would suck IMHO to go for a pass only to find out that APC has cut your boost or failed altogether, and that 160hp you were expecting is now 120hp. BTDT, it's teh suck. An MBC at 12psi should be totally safe, and a good bump in top-end power from stock since you have no boost taper. If it's cold, or you do plan to upgrade your injectors/exhaust/whatever, dial in a little more boost. Ideally (read: Ideally for Lemons) leave the APC in place, do the knock LED mod, and have a pretty red warning light to let you know if your MBC setting is too aggressive. Or sell your APC setup on ebay - it's another cost center!
