Viggen tires... how about the Dunlop sp 9000??? (not 2000!)

I've heard on the board that SO2 poles and Pilot sports are the best bet for overall performance AND acceleration skitter reduction for the Viggen.
Pilot Sports are expensive and hard to get in the right size here in Toronto, and SO 2 Poles are pricey too. My trusty tire dealer (a good, and experienced guy who generally gives me good pricing and service) has a bunch of Dunlop SP 9000 tires and strongly recommends them as an alternative since he can give me a very good price ($225 Canadian... about $150US) and I don't have to wait for them.
I currently have Yoko snnow tires on the 17" wheels which got me through the winter with flying colours, but I dont' want to grind the poor things down any more :)
The tire rack reveiws seem to compare sp9000 more or less favourably with pilots and so2, but doesn't adress the one major issue I'm concerned about: getting rid of the damned spastic acceleration skitter:)
I already know my first choices are pilots and so2's but given they may be C$75 a tire more in this case.. I'm tempted to try the SP 9000 dunlops.
I HATED the SP 2000s that came with the Vig, but I hear they're old design and very hard rubber, not similar to the sp9000.
Any thoughts you SAAB geniouses??
Thanks in advace.
