either (a) getting rid of gas rather than heat as such, or (b) looking good at a stoplight.
For your 9000 and its intended use, some nice regular Brembo rotors and your choice of good-quality pads - such a Ferodo DS2500 - will be fine.
I think the thing with the sway bars is to upgrade both ends, not just the rear - plus to use decent tyres and wheels. I did lose the back end of a 9000 after stiffening up the rear dampers (shocks) so it's not impossible by any means but on the face of it, the icy road isn't really relevant because the speeds are likely to be lower, and the front will slide too.
