Hmm.....naaay.....it's engine isn't sooo advanced...imagine ordinary 2-liter four with additional cylinder. Nice pull, yes, sounds good, yes but handling lets it down and interior looks really bad in my eyes. Porsche helped desing many many engines, some of them sitting in pretty modest car. The one i like the most is aircooled boxer-6 ;)
Forget about AWD-model, it's not real AWD. It has viscose-clutch that is not working for 99% of time, just dead weight...it doesn't have center-differential of any kind.
Drive and see... ;)
Actually, one of few good things about R is that it has locking diff up front...
