While I can't speak for Jerrit's exact location, generally speaking there are not a lot of E85 options in California. The E85 Fuel Stations website (see: http://e85vehicles.com/e85-california.htm) displays 10 stations in the entire state (and some are private or located on military installations). This is somewhat eclipsed by the information shown at http://e85vehicles.com/e85-california.htm which denotes 23 stations. Either way, given the geographic vastness of the state, that's not a lot of options. One has to keep in mind that this is California and while it has the strictest emissions standards in the country they can't simply open up alternative fueling stations for fear that a) they might offend someone, or (gasp!) b) injure the self-esteem of another fuel station owner.
You can use the link below to determine the availability of fueling stations in your area. By way of example, I live in San Jose and there are five stations within a 50 mile radius of me (the closest being 35 miles away).
