I agree, but I don't think he simply didn't try; he didn't have anything to gain by leaving them in, they only charged me $5 to press the outer bushings out and nothing to press the little press nuts out of the lateral arms. I do trust this shop, they're good guys that do good work; when I had my shop we helped each other out a lot. I do think part of his problem was simply his fixturing on the press, he made it sound like he was supporting the control arm behind the bushing because he said he pumped and pumped and the control arm looked like it was going to break. If he had something under the bushing to push the sleeve out through, that shouldn't have been a problem. I know he tried though, the inner sleeve had a good notch pushed into it that he had to file out for me. I noticed my ball joints felt a little easy to move around, I might just wait now until I can buy a new pair of control arms from Taliaferro, and just have them send them to me without bushings.
