A larger turbo will produce more HP. But if you drive in traffic in the city everyone hasleft the light while you are waiting forit to come on.
If you stay with the origanal turbo and ad water injection it will come to power sooner in the power band the you most use. The othe benifet of water is taht you can maintain performance on a hot day. With a larger turbo it just take even longer to get going.I first question is what type of driving do you do if it is city traffic stock turbo provides best drivablitly. If you are driving in the wilds of Montana a larger turbo with water provide the best option. Both have the place.We have done some dyno testing with a stock turbo setup with water and made 261 pound feet of torque at 3700 on a classic 900 at the wheels. that moves the car well intraffic and on the road. With every thing equal I know we could make more HP with a larger turbo but would lose drivablilty.
