Justin, Ryan,
Regarding alignment, I hear you. While this would be my first Front drive carver, I just completed my 70 Chevelle Malibu, and before you cringe, the sucker will flat corner. Front suspension is setup with camber/caster of the 02-03 Z28 (before GM killed it) including C5 Vette brakes (325 rotors). I'll have to research what agressive FWD setup should be (I presume beyond SPG specs). For reference on my old dinosaur A body, I'm running -0.5* camber (and the new suspension goes more negative under load), +5.25* of caster (huge improvement in high speed tracking), and barely any TOE, only like 1.5mm when I measured it. Believe it or not, I aligned it myself with a FASTRAX unit...check out videos on youtube. Don't know if rear wheel alignment is required for a 900, as the FASTRAX has no capability to adjust multiple axles, just one wheel at a time. It works....lots of guys carry these things to the track and do their alignments there (track specific). Front springs are 550#/in, with the Bilsteins she is taunt but not uncomfortable. I'm hoping to do the same with the 900S...still streetable. I know the SCCA guys do toe out, but I also know that eats tires and is best suited for tracked cars.
Regarding sway bars and shock tower ties, shoot me some vendor names. Looked up SAS last night and I see nothing there.
LSD? Guys my age and older have another concept on that one! Break it down for me, please!
Seat time, roger that. Lateral G musclecar guys preach the same gospel...find a school and learn how to drive. My old A body scares me right now as I have no idea where the edge is at! I sure that appropriate training would make that very clear. I've been warned that it is addictive! I'm sure the FWD cars behave differently when you push them hard, whereas the old RWD monsters typically understeer but can SNAP oversteer if you get too much bar/spring out back. I'll research this one for the 900.
Thanks for the feedback,
DET
