If you had a c900, your options might be more, but as the early 9000 has one of the largest intercoolers offered on a Saab, it's not an easy thing to find room for another equally or larger sized intercooler. And even if you could, that's some serious $$$ for all the custom fabrication and cutting and welding etc etc.. And still, you may not achieve anywhere near the same intake air cooling results that H2O injection can provide.
Often it doesn't get UP to 75 degrees in the day here in Seattle, but still, I can tell the difference between how the car drives on a misty 35F day, and a 70F sunny day, quite noticeable. I've only driven a few times in 90+ degree weather (hard driving, anyhow), and can readily admit the car feels pretty darned slow at those temps. Or did, I should say, as that was years ago.
Brad is of course the expert, and Steve Yamamoto, they've used the systems for years with very high boost levels in many more conditions than I! I'm just a 'newbie' when it comes to this H2O injection. I can't wait to get my newer engine in and really see what this baby can do!
