I installed a used engine in July. Head gasket blew in October. So I rebuilt my 01 Viggen engine. All new balance and timing chains guides, gears, head gasket, and rebuilt head. Car was on the road for one week, It overboosted a few times. The last one yesterday being fatal. Compression in cyl 1 is about 35. The readings of the other 3 were about 85, which seemed kind of low.
What actually happens to pistons when car overboosts?
I discovered the waste gate was stuck. Is there a better waste gate to use than stock? I want to try and free up the current gate, but I am scared it might get stuck again.
I was looking at a set of JE piston from genuinesaab. Advice on these pistons or other options? I also plan on installing 6 point subframe brace,
steering rack clamp/ brace.
