Smogged where? In California? Can't happen. You'd need an EO to swap fuel injection and ignition, which you (for all intents and purposes) can't get.
The only thing you could possibly do is take you car to the BAR and tell them you swapped a 2.0l from a NG900 along with its fuel injection, and get an exemption for an engine swap. You'd need to replicate all the smog equipment on a NG900. Of course you wouldn't really have a NG900 motor, but they wouldn't be able to distinguish the mechanical differences. As long as all the emissions features were present and functional, and you could pass a sniffer test as an identical year car it could work.
(Yes, I've looked into it ;)
