the biggest issue with T5 in a C900 is getting an accurate speed sensor signal to the ECU T5 needs to know what gear the car is in and needs to know the final drive and gear ratios ... several folks have gotten around this and it is doable
the BAR isent too bad to deal with on these things.... Justin is dead on with his advice... the other good thing about using OBD1 T5 is that you wont have to have a fuel tank pressure sensor, a purge and tank vent solonoid to deal with fuel evap monitoring but Ii think you need a tech2 to have meaningful conversation with it .....clone tech2 are now like $350 from china :-) not bad :-)
Id freaking megasquirt it and hide everything so it looks stock... smog guys dont know what your old C900 should look like ....
take care
