I think this guy is on to something here. I am new to saab and was a little concerned with everyone's advice and warnings about what to expect on the low end after the mods (want 250 HP) that will take place on my 86 9K. Having experienced muscle cars performance before I often wondered why the saab nut is not trying to make his car quicker at the same time they are improving their mid range and top end. Many guys have told me here....."saabs suck in first gear, we need a block or two to catch up". Well hell let's be quick and fast also.
The 87 Buick Grand National with a V6 turbo ate people up. That car can run mid 13 second quater miles stock. The Mitsubishi VR4 will do the same and still run up to 150+. Get my point?
