The 3.0 FPR may not be enough in the long run. Consider your long-term needs.

Example: I put the 3.0 fpr on my 87 SPG as part of foundation upgrades (exhaust, K&N, AID). I had already tweaked APC pretty dramatically. I am very pleased with results when my foot is in the firewall, but I wish I had gone for the RRFPR instead, because:

1. The car seems to be running pretty rich at idle and around town. Fuel mileage has gone to blazes (partly, but not entirely, due to my frequent WOT acceleration).

2. The 3.0 limits additional mods. For me, a Stage 1 APC has become inevitable, and larger injectors are tempting... but to get the most out of these, I'll have to replace the 3.0 with a RRFPR.

Moral: instead of saving a couple hundred bucks by buying the 3.0 FPR instead of the RRFPR, I may end up buying both and wasting the cost of the 3.0 FPR. Unless you're pretty sure you won't continue to modify the car, think long and hard about the RRFPR instead of the 3.0 FPR.

But either way, you'll like the roar.

Good luck
