The '96 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T Turbo 2 Dr Coupe has a 2.0L I4
16v Turbo (sound familiar?) engine making 210 HP @ 6000 RPM and
214 ft-lbs of torque @ 3000 RPM. The machine weights 2899 lbs,
roughly the same as the 900 Turbo 3 Dr Hatchback.

I'll agree that your "can I bet him in a race?" is a bit.. umm..
of an irrational question, but I'll even give this a shot. In
top speed.. well, if you can match his horsepower.. and depending
on your gear ratios and drag coefficient.. probably. Do you really
want to have a top speed race? Please don't!!!

In a drag race, once again, if you can match his horsepower.. yes
it is likely you can beat him. Note the only think you mentioned
for 'horsepower' was your "APC".. so can you improve up to 210+
with this?

Lastly, for a road course race. Well, this is more tricky.. this
really depends on how you tune your handling.. and for this.. I
doubt anyone here can possibly guess how you will do (including
your skills on a road course).

Well, you may catch up with that Eclipse in horsepower, but you
will always have more space! Those old Eclipses looked good..
but had a bugger of a back seat. Also, they are quite unreliable.
They REALLY like to blow transmissions.
