We don't really have that option here in America... Thus we have to resort to getting a Rising Rate FPR and/or bigger injectors (water injection in my case), or just scrapping the Bosch LH system in favor of a complete aftermarket FI system.
Whichever route you take though, don't just crank up the boost until it goes boom! I have a '87 9000T also, and am running about a max of 22 psi, and it _seems_ safe at those levels. Meaning the air/fuel ratio isn't leaning out, temps are ok, etc.. 30 psi though, wow...probably want to think about intake manifold, head port and polish, and exhaust manifold work, of course in addition to the usual turbo to tailpipe exhaust system.
If you can get a chip for the LH ECU, you may not even need to get a different FPR, or maybe just the 3.0 bar FPR, because the chip should allow the computer to leave the injectors open for a long amount of time to provide the higher levels of fuel at the higher boost levels- or maybe you'd just need to go to bigger injectors. This is all just speculation on my part though... others will know more.
