While people incorrectly assume that SPGs are faster than 900Ts, they are not. SPG is a misnomer, and as I see it, it should be Special Perception Group. Anyway, there is a whole other argument to be had about whether or not an SPG from the factory is better than a 900t made to look like an SPG. You do not have to modify the engine to have an SPG (91 APC mod excluded). The factory did not keep a record of SPGs produced. I think that if you do it right, any 900T can be an SPG. It is just add ons.

The difference here is that Type Rs and Vtecs are completely different cars! It is technology, not perception, that changes with those cars. That, to me, is a much more important difference than having SPG panels on a non-SPG. Besides, SPGs have LESS badging than 900t's!

Subwoofers in cars are not lightweight, but they provide entertainment value and are of varying quality. That, to me, is not involved in this argument. Stereo syetems come with stickers; now if you put stickers on your car for products you don't have (like a big JL sticker when you're pushing Jensen's, that's somethin' else)

Whale tails provide little benefit and do provide additional weight. I must conceed that I have one on my car. To me, it is tasteful, though, and is the Carlsson unit. It is not 3 feet high by 3 feet wide. It fits into the original design; plus it is not some Pep Boys aftermarket load. Honestly, I feel like I have added stability at high speed in my car with it on. PS: They came from the factory on some 900 S's.

As far as other types of car owners bashing Saabs because they are "Euro cars" or "4 cylinders", man that's just dumb. That is a perfect example of a baseless argument; dismissing a car type just because of what it is. My brother and I smoke 5.0 Mustangs all the time. I'm sure that upsets them.

Yes, high speed driving is dangerous. Back road and highway speeding is different than in-town heavy traffic turn lane passing. It is all in degrees of foolisness, regardless. You are correct in *some* of your statement.

You have a different opinion, one that lets people be annoying just because they have that right! I stand by my comments. Blasting other cars for doing stupid things seems logical. Slamming a car for being what it is in the first place is a different story. To each his own.

Mike

PS: Ow, damn stones landing on my head again
