Except for pictures I've never even seen under the hood of a 9000. Trying to have an AWD OG900 is what really intriqued about the project. I'm really not that thrilled about the tranverse layout, but it is what I have to work with. I would much rather use an Audi or Subaru drive train, mainly just because of the north-south layout and that they are better systems. A large part of the project for me is using the SAAB engine, I just love these 16 valve turbo motors.

I've had my eyes open for something different that I could try with an OG900 for a long time. I kept looking at some of the late model Chysler and Japanese automatic transaxles that have a north-south layout and can envision bolting a SAAB motor to one of these and transplanting it. I've looked at bolt-in IRS rearend assemblies envisioning going the RWD route. I even like the idea of putting the engine and transaxle amidships (maybe trying a 9000 drive train here), but I'd lose all that trunk area, I use these things like pickups, so that would really mess me up.

Lots of thoughts going through my head, but when I saw the Talon and was able to work out what I considered a deal for it, I was hooked. I don't have a lot of time on my hands, but I do hope I have enough years a head of me, to give me the time to work out the problems associated with a project like this.

Thanks for your thoughts.
