Dimensionally the A4 and S4 are identical. I fit in the Saab certainly easier than the A4, but I still fit. The seats of the A4, much like the Saab, are infinitely adjustible. The seat can lower waaaay down to fit.

Still prefer the Saab, but the Audi can be a fun ride occasionally.

As far as performance, my Saab has been tweaked (Abbott ECU, Forge BPV; approximately same performance level as stock Viggen now) and runs away from our A4. But then the A4 is "bone stock" so it's really no comparison on 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile times.

Handling on the Saab is vastly improved with the Viggen Rescue Kit, but the Quattro and multilink suspension of the Audi will kill the Saab in the curves. But what use is that without the acceleration? IMHO, right now the Saab wins, but against an S4 it would a tough race. They're both great cars and each has their own virtues the other can't touch -- quattro on the Audi, utility on the Saab, but even here, with the Avant (wagon) that we have, it's again a close race.

Style is a very subjective thing. I love the classic as well as the NG 900's, albeit, the classic MUCH more so. The Audi I think has a classic and enduring style as well which will last nearly as long as the C900. I know I'm biased, but I like the Avant even better looking than the sedan (which is why we bought it vs. the sedan -- no kids, no REAL reason to have a wagon...).

In any case, as I said before, I think it really boils down to personal preference. I like them both for different reasons. Much like the way I like both the classic and NG 900's. Or a Porsche 911 and a Bentley Continental Turbo R, or a '67 427 Vette, or a '71 Boss Mustang, or a Sonett III. I like them all, but for different reasons...

(Man this hobby can get expensive... ;-P)
