For those that have an aquamist system installed what diameter nozzle are you using?
I recently installed a 1S on my '83-900T and it seems to work fine when it's on for only short periods of time < 3 sec. Anything longer than that and the car starts sputtering. I suspect that I'm getting too much water and it's pooling up somewhere. I have a long canyon as a testing grounds and when I'm above 3000 rpm 6-10 psi and the system is on for a more than 5 sec I get this sputtering. I've ruled out any underlying problems with the car since I can go up the same hill at the same boost level without any problems. Currently, I'm using a 0.5mm nozzle located just after the first bend on the tube that goes from the turbo to the throttle body. Note this car doesn't have an intercooler. The pressure switch is set for 6psi. I'm thinking that either a) the nozzle is too big or, b) the nozzle is too close to the turbo or c) a combination of both. Before I move the nozzle further downstream of the turbo I'd like to know if 0.5mm is a reasonable diameter to be using.
I'd ask Brad for advice but he's currently out of town.
Thanks in advance.
