so yesterday I find this job at the shop. The R.O. said PDI C230K parts A&B. Im thinking ok this should be easy another C class I can kill a couple hours on this. Not think that there isnt a C230K, untill now .so I ask where the car at, Im told its out back covered up, and to cover it back up when Im done, Hastings (General Manager) doesnt want anyone to see it. I go out back and start moving cars to get to it, I start removing the cover and then I relize why theres all the concern over keeping it hidden. This Model isnt for sale yet, and no one on the road has ever seen a 3door benz that for some strang reason looks alot like a 9-3. By this point Im totally excited, I get to drive this totally new car and see just what it will do. So I bring this new found toy into the shop and start pealing the plastic wraper off. while Im working I hear my boss yell accross the shop. "Sturtz!!, whats that saab doing in here", I ignor him and waite for him to walk over, he keeps talking. " You know better than not to bring your car in here during buiness hours." When He finally gets over to my rack, he asks, What are you doing? I respond a PDI dude, and hand him the paperwork. He had this funny perplexed look on his face like I was pulling a fast one on him, then he takes a step back and looks at what the car is. WTF? He then promptlly appoligized, sorry I though that this was a Saab. I call over the other techs and we start looking the car over. For a $24,000 car its pretty nice. It has a revised engine that pumps out well more than the 192HP/200Ftlbs its rated at. I know this because it was doing burners with ease off the line. the seats were very supportive and the tranny was firmer than the usual 5 speed. needles to say it made quick work of trafic pulling to 100+MPH with ease. I really like this thing, and cant waite to drive it further.
