My impression- K&N Perf. Filter.

Some of you might have seen my previous post question whether I was making the right choice installing an open K&N filter in my '95 Aero.
Well, I let me say I did i, and I LOVE IT!!
For those that suggest simple cutting a four inch hole in the air box - after removing the airbox, I concluded that that option simply would not flow as much air as installing the filter in behind the intercooler. WOW, I could believe how restrict that box was. As far as I saw it, I was gaining cool (or air) from three sources: the front of the car, opening aft the skid plate, and through the opening left by removing air box. And that hole is about six inches wide.
Put the car its paces this AM, and boy do I feel the difference. First is definately quicker; throttle response much quicker. And NO, there was no big difference in tone. My civilized car is still civilized. But, but, but --- the intake tone is much more sporty. Hard to put in words -- the level is the same but tone more defined, sportier. Also, since I was putzing around Brooklyn, I was interested to see if there was performance degrade as car got hotter. No signs of that.
High recommended minor, but quick performance booster.
ECU next??? What's the recommendation?
Mike
