Tools needed: -- I am assuming 9000 is your car.
Socket wrench w/ extender - 8mm and 10mm sockets. 8mm for loosening and tightening clamps and removing air box screws. 10mm for removing screws securing covering under airbox.
You will also need a 12 or 13mm socket to attach provided bracket to filter. In general, if you don't have a nice socket set, get one.
Carpet or Xacto knife --- needed to cut away flared area at end of intake hose, where air box connected. I took of as little as possible, is it will be possible to re-install air box. With sharp knife this go easy.
Steps:
1. Remove intake hose to turbo from air box cap.
2. Remove air box cap.
3. Remove screws securing air box (three of them).
4. Remove filter.
5. Jack car up a bit
6. Remove cover located under airbox location.
7. Air box is in two section secure by latches. Reach-in through the opening the undercover covered and unlatch all latches keeping two halves together. I removed the wheel, but that step was not necessary.
8. Once unlatched, the front half of the airbox will fall away, making it easy to remove potion that extends into the car.
9. Cut away L-portion of provided bracket. I cut bracket about 1/4" below hole on straight section. You will have to come up with nuts and bolts to attach to frame. Attach to holes where air box screws were.
10. Attach filter to intake hose. To protect car from being scratch by bracket, I cover end with plastic. Attaching to intake hose involves a bit of a fight, but isn't to frustrating.
11. Attach bracket to frame.
12. Re-install undercover.
You are done!!! Oh! lower car off jack.
Go put it through its paces ...
