Bob,
My convert is an 89' model. They are pretty notorious for bad LH units. I replaced mine fairly early and thought that all was well. Little did I know that the reason I was running lean all of the time was because of the damn jetronic! I knew from working at the dealership that the reliability of the LH ecu's never really got back fully until 92'. I happened to find a 93' up at Goldwing for $280 and I bought it. I bought it as a back up for my 89' and didn't expect it to make my car so much faster! Immediately the lean condition was gone and start-up and regular running went through the roof. It wasn't until after I threw that damn 89' 570' Jetronic out, that I started to love my old car again. Therefore, it was the best upgrade that I have bought. If you already have a good running 900T with 2.4, you probably wouldn't notice any improvement, unless you have an 89' or 90 that has started to lean out your mixture.
