The car is a '96 9000 2.0 LPT with 150 hp stock and boost at around 0,45 bar. After lengthy considerations I chose chipcenter.cc because of price and location, and as far as I can tell the quality is as good as any other swedish tuner. The upgrade included a BPC valve, so it has base boost and better knock protection. Max boost is around 1.2 Bar peaking to almost 1.3 Bar in 3rd, 4th and 5th gears. In 1st the boost is limited to 0.8 Bar and in 2nd to 1 Bar which makes it easier on the transmission and front tires. First impression is very good. Above 3000 RPM the turbo-rush is amazing compared to before (actually I'll probably have to put some kind of strap on the CD's I have in the storage shelf under the stereo as they kept flying out when accelerating =).
The claimed HP/torque is 210 and 310 NM, but it feels more like 220-230 HP. The only thing that has me a bit worried is one occurence of overboost cutoff on the way home from the tuner during WOT in 4th gear. Repeated attempts to reproduce it were fortunately negative. Is this something to worry about, or was it maybe part of the adaptation process?
