Okay, here it is. Last week, had the 30# injectors in, boosted to 20 no problem. A few days later, I was on the highway doing a high boost run, next thing I know, the car is shuddering at around 15psi. This has been happening since and is quite annoying! The whole car shudders, AF shows all the lights on, or rapid lean-stoich-rich. Weird. This all happened quite suddenly. There was really no warning, one moment is boosted fine to 20, then the next it had trouble getting up past 15.
Well, there was just one anomoly, I guess. On the previous runs to 20, which numbered maybe 15 or so (including some the night before), it was pretty smooth all the way there. The last couple of runs, it stuttered justa justa at about 18 before hitting 20 no problem, as before.
I tried swapping in another AMM, I checked all of the IC pipes and their boots for leaks, I swapped in another IC too. All to no effect. I THINK that my HKS SSQ BOV is good too. Nothing seems out of place on it, and the spring requires some effort before the valve will open.
All of this happens around 15psi. It's smooth sailing beneath that boost pressure. It's also not RPM related, I can be at whatever RPM and not shudder, just the shudder at 15psi.
Is this the fuel cutoff/overboost protection? It should have been disabled long ago, but I'm wondering if I could somehow have re-enabled it? This I think weird. I have replaced all of the injector connectors from the wiring harness with new items. I did try the inline resistor mod, but have also done away with those and put the orange wire back together, but had to add some wire to give it enough length.
So, any other ideas? Fuel pump? Feeder pump was replaced with a new item last winter.
