I have a 91 9KT and I think the early 92's are the same. A recircuating valve with an open element air filter (ie. K&N) mounted in the wheel well, will give you plenty of whoosh. The open element lets the relief pulse out where you can hear it. Even a stock Bosche type valve in the original location makes plenty of noise. I just recently installed a Forge #7 on the intercooler to Throttle body tube. I mounted it with the piston side toward the pressure, using a short piece of stout radiator hose of the IC/TB tube, and a longer piece to a 1" barbed hose fitting on the intake side of the turbo. Noticably quicker spoolup beween shifts. Its one of those little mods that greatly improves moving up thru the gears, either in the mountain, or merging on the freeway.
