Mike, I purchased the Centerforce Clutch kit a couple of years ago and discovered some interesting things. The pressure plate was an OEM Sachs pressure plate painted orange with the weights added. The friction disc was different with stock organic on one side and centerforces special material on the other. My experience is that 8.5" Centerforce unit cannot and will not handle all that much more torque than a stock unit. After 12 months, I replaced my flywheel and pressure plate with a unit made for a 1993 9000 Aero(9.50")and bought a Fiber Kevlar Carbon friction disc from Clutchnet.com. I do not have any more slippage. The down side is that the 9.50 pressure plate is very heavy which does effect low RPM response. If I were you, I would try the copper friction disc rather than the Centerforce. I would also consider trying a 6 puck friction disc rather than the 3 or 4, because if I remember correctly, Clutchnet told me that having more pucks is less grabby and more friendly for street use.
