A friend has beet trying to get me to take a trip to the drag strip with him. I am not a drag racing fan but I think it would be nice to know what it does with a few simple mods.

Anyways, 3 months ago his 2000 eclipse which is mostly stock broke the flywheel as well as the clutch on his first run. He has under 10K on the car & was attempting to do a burnout to get his tires warmed up. OEM all season tires don't need to get warmed up & he agreed with me afterwards :o)

So last thursday he was doing another run& well, the pinion went through the trans casing while he was in 1st gear!

$4K for the clutch/flywheel & fortunantly for him, they are fixing the trans under warantee

O well, what a POS! C900 trans aren't that weak :o)
