These subaru WRX's are awsome in my opinion. I had to stop at the dealership and check one out. It was on the floor with the hood open! WOOHOO!!
Im not an engineer but it seems odd to me that the turbo on the WRX only runs off half the engine. I can also notice a variation in intake/exhaust sound from a normal turbo vehicle, it sounds like a "half" turbo. Its hard to explain but the turbo is designed on the passenger side of the engine (its a boxer engine, 2 pistons right, 2 left). Just seems odd to me, seems that if there is uneven heat or backpressure then things will wear out faster on one side than the other. I would love to own onw of these vehicles but that is the only thing stopping me.
Did I put new light on the subject????
