I have subscribed to High Performance Pontiac magazine for many years, and in the last few years they did a feature on a 4th-gen V6 Firebird that ran faster than most V8 Firebirds/Camaros in the quarter mile. While I cannot find the article yet (still looking!) I do remember that that guy had more mods than those few you listed for that Camaro dude. I don't know that those couple mods could boost the power to that range alone, but it is possible to make those cars very fast.
I will post the details of that guy's F-bird if I can find the article...
