Indisputable, as in IMO it should not have been on the market in this state of underdevelopment. Never driven a car before or after that pulled so violently in whichever direction it fancied on the simple application of the throttle in any gear but 4th and 5th. The Viggen has been pulled from the European market after the 2000 MY, but I understand it is still sold in the USA with the same suspension design.
Don't get me wrong, the Viggen has great potential and where it's good (engine, seats, looks) it's great - but after the first press reports (which were unanimous in depicting the Viggen's faults) and the advent of the Viggen Rescue Kit by Abbott Racing Saab should have reacted immediately by incoprporating these or similar solutions in the cars delivered by them. IMO even a recall for cars already on the road would not have gone amiss...
I still don't understand what TWR and Saab were thinking when they unleashed a chassis adaptation so poor on the target audience that had been waiting for a 'hot' Saab to roll out of the factory ever since the demise of the original 900T Aero/SPG. The market was there, well-defined, it could have capitalized on the latent performance image from the early days of the Turbo! and they blew it...
