transverse mount fwd's are very efficient ... no turning torque 90 deg (no drive chains ..)
usually figure 10-12% losses, still suggests a spunky Viggen.
a factor should also go to torque, but could be argued as higher for higher contact forces at gears/bearings, or lower due to lower speeds. most just use same.
