I have a 95 9000 aero, and it makes the same loud whoosh- this is how all the aero's sounded from the factory. However, they came with recirculating valves, not atmospheric dump valves. They just happen to be kind of loud. If you want to find your dump valve, it is very easy. Follow the large metal tube coming from your intake manifold around and down until you come to a small cylindrical object with a small tube coming out of the top. That is your dump valve. The other end should be attached to your air intake tube, that goes straight into your turbo. As for using an atmospheric valve, I have not tried one yet...I have heard that trionic cars have problems, but it may only be trionic 7 cars, and not trionic 5, like the 9000.
