ext wg is very effective, esp for T3 turbos. but must watch the piping.
rather than 3" dp, would be better to start with 2.5", and then merge under car in a Y joint with wg discharge (~1.25"), into a final 3" section of dp. Think header/collector. This wg loop must have a welded in flex section in it (turbonetics).
stock internal T3 wg is poorly arranged, and robs 15% power at top end (brad confrmed this by dyno). oversized dp helps fix this.
these F-max links show, by dyno, that a simple 'T' joint will disturb flow, even in big dp. 44 hp loss, compared to 250hp peak with open wg discharge.

The big dp flange should be machined after pipes are welded on, and/or special gasket req'd to minimize leakage.
