Ask at PI and they will give 15% of list price. The cheap System 1 will coat about 1500 to get started. Big limitation is the 50Hz max logging rate. and it is only 6 analog channels for about 1600 or so with no display. The SPA MicroDash logger is a better deal if you can front the cash. It has 8 Analog channel + 4 digital channel. It is 10bit and 4mb. It can log all 8 channels at 500Hz of faster for fewer channels. It comes with a speed sensor, pressure transducer, temp transducer and a display dash (rpm, speed, and 2 other channels of choice) Software is downloadable to try it out and free updates of the software and possibly later development of expansion boxes for more channels if you outgrow it. It sounds like the system of choice at the price... $0.02 no affiliation, yada yada. I just had to get the Pi Data Budy for work...
