OK... Most of you know I have an 1988 900 Aero (same as the SPG in the USA). Usual plethroa of SPG9 upgrades> stage 2 APC (20psi), RRFPR, AID unit with timing at 18BTDC, K&N filtercharger, 2.5 inch exhaust with hi s/s flow muffler and hi flow racing cat with 2.75inch down pipe, mitsubishi TE-05 turbo, i/c pull fan with manual switch, 24lb injectors etc. Also run autometer boost gauge and autometer a/f ratio gauge.

heres the current issue... just installed a recoed AMM after my last one died. Timing was not changed from 18BTDC and am using the AID unit.

According to my a/f gauge at idle (and at correct operating temp after 2 fan cycles) its running between 1st/2nd LED (0.05 to 0.10V) to 3rd green rich LED (0.85V) and under boost with WOT it displays RICH - 4th and 5th green LED or 0.90V to 0.95V and stable. Now i know things up this high and when in open loop aint too accurate. But have been told by mike9 froim SPG9 that this is too rich and that "ideal" setting is around first green LED or 0.75V only when under boost. Alternatively at idle it should be flicking between last lean (as it is) to last stoich light/first green light (around 0.75V).

So far I did have my RRFPR set at 2.3bar (fuel pressure gauge set with vac line off) and had the AMM resistance set at 270ohms. The new recoed AMM came set at 390ohms between pins 3 and 6 and I changed this after installation as car showed over richness. A setting of 270ohms was settled on but still not correct. Mike9 said to turn down FP even more and set AMM back towards the 300ohm mark... I have since "unscrewed" the RRFPR back 3 full turns and set the AMM back to 295ohms. It still exhibits around the same a/f readings... the 02 sensor is only 2 months old BTW. Just for the dang of it I set the AMM back to 250ohms and and lowered FP even more... still not much of a change from a/f gauge sweeps.
I have noticed too that the idle is slightly higher than normal - AIC valve is 18months old... but tapping side of this lowers idle briefly...
the resetting of RRFPR this evening back 3 full turns was not done with a FP gauge. TPS switch is good and tests fine.
Any suggestions or indeed any corrections to the above info would be great!
What are others with similar set ups and an a/f ratio gauge showing at idle and under boost?
Everything else is working very nicely... boost is linear and smooth and no taper and obviously not running lean. but jsust trying to dial it in properly and FINALLY! :) so close yet so far! :)
cheers for any help...
