Why were you getting the max. output at such a low rpms? The performance figures, in my opinion, seem pretty realistic for a flywheel corrected horsepower at that rpm level. And I suppose that would calculate to around 230 hp at the redline.
The Saab turbo engine should pull the max. hp right before the redline if you're able to control the knock and feed enough fuel into the engine. Of course this requires bypassing the boost taper built inside the standard APC box.
I've attached my old dyno sheet (seen on this bb many times). It is not very great, with 15PSI she pulled 207 (flywheel corrected) horsepower. Back in those days I had trouble sustaining boost in high rpm's. MSD BTM and timing correction helped a lot. But the dyno print shows quite clearly that the drivetrain losses are fairly moderate, not in the 100hp scale as someone suggested. At 207bhp they're less than 50 hp. In fact this dyno I visited also measured the drivetrain losses and used measured numbers in the flywheel calculation. This was performed by pressing in the clutch right at the redline and then letting the wheels slow down without touching the brakes and holding the clutch depressed.
