Ok, my boss has a 2000 (I think) model year M5. There is no way in hell that you outran one of those beasts. Granted, it's a heavy 4 door luxury automobile, but at 396HP stock, it goes 0-60 in 4.6 seconds. Not bad for a big car...and considering the price difference between it, and say a 911 GT2, it's a good bang-for-the-buck car.
I plan on going head-to-head with him some day in my 90spg, but no time soon. Even then, I will have put every single cent I own into my saab and his will still be completely stock...
Though, I must admit, I love borrowing that thing. It's got no M series badges or markings on the outside. It's a powder blue 4 door sleeper. Only people who know to look for the 4 tail pipes and 18" wheels know what it is. I'd love to see the look on those ricers' faces when I dust them, but they're so far in the rear view mirror, that I can't tell.
