The sales tax is very high in Europe in general and I would guess that import fees in many European nations are pretty high as well. When I asked my dealer in Saarbruecken, Germany their price for a Viggen intercooler was DM 760 or about USD 330! I checked my invoice, Hirsch charged me CHF 558 for the i/c and required hoses which comes out to USD 320. So yes, the parts were a bit expensive but labor was very good, only CHF 125 for installation and another CHF 50 for the dyno run, which only comes out to USD 102 for the work. It will be interesting to see what happens to the prices when their stuff is marketed through the dealerships. Also, I think that their being chosen by Saab for upgrades speaks a great deal about their very high quality.
