My brother Mike and I have had this problem with our otherwise very quick C900 cars...until now. We both added Intrax springs (both replacing stock SPG springs) and this made a tremendous difference in both cars. I would expect Mike's 88 SPG to drop into the 14's easily, and I think my LPT can do the same. I cannot join him this Sunday to find out, unfortunately...that's OK, because 75-80 Dragway is less than 10 minutes from my shop! I had not planned to drag race this car any more, but the launch traction is so improved now, I gotta know if it is a 14-second C900.
The change in my '86 900 LPT is dramatic. I used to spin through all of first gear and peel in second heavily...all due to unproductive and excessive weight transfer to the rear. My car now has a Viggen-like forward rake, and stays virtually flat during hard launches. It is the fastest 0-60 C900 I have driven, though Mike's SPG would be right next to me...
Do you still have stock springs?
I have never been to Cecil County Raceway...but I'd like to sometime. Hope to see you there...

'86 900S LPT 15.30 @ 94 mph best (so far...)
'85 900T 16.00 @ 91 mph best (retired from dragracing)
