I checked the part # and it matches both what koni, tirerack and shox.com are reccomending (koni PT# 8641-1305.) for some reason the threaded portion of the shock is about 3/4 inches longer on the stock set-up. I am not sure of why this is but it is the case... I will give koni a call today and see if they have any ideas.
as for:
If you don't havethread engagement then, then there is a serious situation. <- this is what I have... (well, what I would have if I left them on the car...)
This is crazy! can anyone measure the stock shocks threaded area if they have them... This may be good to know if I call koni. I am not sure why this is happening.

BTW, it makes no dif if I try to do it with or with out the spring installed... still too short.
