C'mon guys... the test that everyone likes to site about Aero being faster than a Lambo is a silly test...
Its called "Top Gear" accelearation test. And yeah, if a Viper is in 6th gear ambling down the highway @ 60 mph his engine is turning over at under 2000rpm.
My friend owns one. I live in Portland, OR... So, sooner or later someone will come on here and say "I beat a black viper.." Riiiight.
If you "race" a Viper while he's got the car in 6th of course you'd have a chance...
If a Viper driver shifts down, wacks open the throttle, say good-bye.
Look up the criteria for what constitutes a "Top Gear" accelaration run. It's an insanely dumb test that, for most drivers has very little bearing on real world passing conditions.
Try accelerating in your Aero in 5th from 50mph to whatever, and then try it in 3rd... I'm sure you'll see a big difference.
All that said, I'll stick with Saabs.. I've ridden around in my friend's Viper, and I'm impressed only with the engine... And, its not real safe to take the thing out on a rainy day in the PacNW!
Other than that the car is fairly useless, it will pull lots of looks though.
