The problem with just adding an MBC is that you will get more boost but not more fuel. The fuel injection is pre-set to give enough fuel for stock boost, with some safety margin. If you add the 3.0bar FPR you'll be alright, but the MBC still overides the knock protection of the APC system, which isn't good if you get a bad tank of gas or whatever. Some take this risk because they like the characteristics of the MBC, like no boost taper. Modifying the APC will increase boost while retaining knock protection. It's also easy and basically free. You can start easy and just adjust the potentiometers or go a little further and replace some resistors. My advice is to get a 3.0bar FPR (new or used from a non-turbo, I believe http://www.saabsavior.com has them very cheap, like $10) and upgrade the APC to "red box" specs, which will get you to about 185hp. There's plenty of info on this board if you want to do a search, or the link below should get you started. My favorite link seems to be down.
