I was looking for some opinions here and hopefully some of you Saab enthusiast on this board will share your thoughts on the below subject.

In the near future I would like to put a Saab on the track and run approximately 230-260 hp (measured at the crank) from this vehicle. At this time I am struggling with what car to focus my attention on. I am considering the C900, NG900, or 9000 (2.0 or 2.3 liter). Here are my thoughts on the vehicles for making them track worthy:

C900
advantages: cheap to buy; lots of used parts out there
disadvantages: cost of modifying

NG900
advantages: direct ignition; transmissions can take more power then the C900; cleaner shifting
disadvantages: cost of upgrading the fuel system; upgrading the turbo; and limitations of the fuel managment system for obtaining high speeds (i.e. going 230-250 km/h)

9000 (B202 engine)
advantages: transmission; cost of buying the car; lots of used parts out there
disadvantages: similar to the C900 - cost of modifying

9000 (B234 engine)
advantages: transmission; 2.3 liter engine; if you chip an Aero you can get 260 horses
disadvantages: cost of the whole set up
