My dead honest opinion, as much as I love the 93-98 9000 because i own one, I would have to say a c900 16v because of body stiffness and resistance to roll. However, the transmissions are weak, especially if you have a c900 that doesn't have a 90 or better transmission. The ng900 had a crappy suspension setup and was prone to body flex and roll, although it is still quite tossable, I have one, but it's not a turbo. The 9000 has a nice stiff body and great suspension, but is heavier than the 900, and still rolls a little, at least mine does even with the aero suspension setup. An earlier DI car's DI casette may fail, and you wouldn't really want DI on a track car, because of the inability to work with the ignition and timing so easily. These are just my opinions, and I'm certainly no Saab genius, so I could be wrong... but all in all, my opinion would be a c900, or a non-DI 9000, like pre 90.
