I'm trying to help you out here not make false statements either say something positive or nothing at all. The stock car has 16" 205 wheels increasing to a 17" 215 is not stock spec's. Do you see an increase here or are these number to obvious for you? Your increasing the tire width and hieght which both can potentially cause this wear. Check it out don't just blow it off as an non-issue. I can't believe you would actually try to say that its stock when is not obviously not stock for this car, this is why they call it an "upgrade". Key words like "upgrade" might help you to key in the future to determine what is stock and not stock.
This is also a safty issue and one that I strongly believe in. I see people all the time for things like this. Stupid does kill but not at a high enough rate for some. Education here is key. If you "upgrade" your tires to anything taller or slightly wider please check for this wear or at worse you'll be dead! Do you see the importance in this or is this something that I'm missing? Why blow it off when it only takes five minutes to check?
Safety if paramount and always should be so lets not blow off any safety issues or do I need to post pictures of what you will look like if you don't.
